Help - Shareholder Promotion

  • Q.Why can't I use my Shareholder voucher in your online store?
    • A: We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to popular demand, we are unable to complete online orders containing a Shareholder Voucher. We are happy to assist you in the selection of your Star Number at any of our Retail Locations.
  • Q.I found the Star Number I wanted. Will I be able to reserve that in stores?
    • A:If the number is still available when you visit our retail store, we will be happy to help you with reserving that number. Due to the popularity of our new number ranges, Star Numbers are being reserved very quickly. We encourage you to visit a retail location as soon as you can to ensure you get the number of your choice.
  • Q. What can I use my voucher for?
    • A:You can use your voucher towards obtaining a discount on a Vodafone Star Number reservation fee. The voucher is not redeemable against any other Vodafone product or service, or any handsets, merchandise, or accessories. The voucher cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
  • Q.How many numbers can I reserve with my voucher?
    • A: You can use your exclusive Star Number voucher towards the reservation of up to three star numbers in a single transaction.
  • Q.Can I use my voucher more than once?
    • A:The unique code printed on the voucher can only be used once. Vouchers can only be redeemed in Vodafone retail stores. You must use your voucher in a single transaction. If you reserve a Star Number(s) with a reservation fee lower than the value of your voucher, any remaining voucher value will be forfeited.
  • Q.Can I reserve a Star Number with a higher value than my voucher?
    • A: Yes, if the number reservation fee is for a higher amount than the value of the voucher, the difference can be made up with cash or credit card.
  • Q.How is my voucher value calculated?
    • A:Voucher values were assigned to shareholders based on the number of Vodafone Qatar shares held. The calculation is based on the highest number of shares held at the IPO (April 2009), Vodafone Qatar’s financial year end (31 March 2010) or at the General Assembly meeting (28 June 2010).
  • Q.Why did I not receive a voucher?
    • A:Vouchers were sent to all eligible individual shareholders using postal address details provided by the Qatar Exchange register. Vouchers were only sent to Qatar-based individual shareholders who were on the official share register provided by Qatar Exchange on any of the following dates: IPO (April 2009), 31 March 2010 or 27 June 2010. You must have been a shareholder on one of these three dates to be eligible to receive a Star Number voucher.
  • Q.When are vouchers being mailed out?
    • A:All vouchers were distributed to Q-Post for delivery by mid September 2010. If you believe you should have received a voucher, our Retail and Customer Care Champions can check the database on production of a valid ID or proof of the Qatar Exchange NIN number. This must match the records held by Qatar Exchange. Alternatively, please contact investor-relations@vodafone.com.
  • Q.Why are my contact details incorrect?
  • Q.Does my voucher expire?
    • A:Yes -the original validity date is printed on your voucher. However due to popular demand, all vouchers have been extended until 31 December 2010.
  • Q.What if I didn’t receive my voucher or I lost it?
    • A:Simply visit a Vodafone Retail store with the original ID card that you used to register at Qatar Exchange. For most people this is their Qatari ID card; for some people this might be their passport.
