  • Q.How do I send an MMS?
    • A: This is a general guide for sending MMS:
      • Select 'messaging' from your mobile phone menu.
      • Select 'create new message'.
      • Select 'multimedia message'.
      • Insert your image, text, sound or video to the multimedia message.
      • Once you are happy with your message select the 'to/recipient' field.
      • Select mobile numbers and email addresses you want to send the message to.
      • Press 'send'.

      If you have difficulty sending an MMS from your mobile you should refer to your manual or contact the manufacturer.

  • Q.Is my phone set up to send MMS?
    • A: When you first put your new Vodafone SIM into your mobile phone we'll send settings to your mobile phone that allow you to use MMS on the Vodafone network. You'll need to save the settings to your phone in order for them to take effect.
      If you didn't save the settings or have changed them, you can contact our Customer Care Centre on 800 7111 or 111 from your Vodafone mobile to have the settings re-sent.
  • Q.Can I set up my MMS manually?
    • A: Yes, you can. To set up your mobile phone you will need to enter the following settings:
      • Connection Name: VFQ MMS
      • Bearer: GPRS
      • Access Point Name: vodafone.com.qa
      • No user name or password required
      • IP address: 10.101.97.102
      • IP port number: 80
      • MMSC URL: http://mms.vodafone.com.qa/mmsc
  • Q.Can I send and receive MMS messages from any mobile phone?
    • A: Not all phones support the service. If your phone doesn't support MMS you will not be able to send picture messages. If you receive an MMS but your phone doesn't support it, you'll get a text message letting you know a friend has sent you an MMS. This text message will direct you to a web page where you can view the message you have been sent.
  • Q.How do I check if my mobile phone can send and receive MMS messages?
    • A: Not all phones support the service. If your phone doesn't support MMS you will not be able to send picture messages.   • Q.Can I put as many pictures as I like into my MMS message?
    • A: There is a size limit of 300kB for MMS messages. So the number of pictures you can attach will be dependent on the file size of the pictures.

  • Q.Is my phone set up to receive MMS?
    • A:To receive MMS directly to your phone you need to have sent a Vodafone MMS message successfully and have your phone setup with the Vodafone MMS settings.
