Welcome to the Vodafone Qatar Foundation – one of the ways we will make a difference to all people in Qatar.
Funded in part by the business of Vodafone Qatar, the Vodafone Qatar Foundation maintains strong connections with other Vodafone Foundations in Vodafone Operating Companies throughout the World, thereby becoming involved in a unique combination of global and local social investment programmes.
Here in Qatar we support local charities through fundraising, such as our Star Numbers auction earlier in the year, as well as through partnerships with organisations such as Reach Out to Asia, a Qatari organisation dedicated to building cultural bridges and ensuring quality education to people throughout Asia.

A World of Difference

World of Difference, the flagship programme of the Vodafone Qatar Foundation, gives 4 passionate people the unique opportunity to work for a local charity or cause of their choice for one full year, with their salary paid by the Vodafone Qatar Foundation.

Reach Out to Asia
Founded in 2005 and chaired by Her Excellency Sheika Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Reach out to Asia (ROTA) is a non-governmental organisation with both local and international programmes.
ROTA focuses on building cultural bridges through community awareness and fundraising, with the goal of securing quality education for every man, woman and child across the Asian continent, regardless of age, gender or circumstance.
The Vodafone Qatar Foundation will be sponsoring the ROTA Gala Dinner, which will be held on October 31, 2009. This event will raise funds for ROTA to support the work they are doing in Qatar and in Asia.

The global Vodafone Foundation first received recognition as a registered charity in the UK in December of 2001. As part of the Vodafone Group, the Vodafone Foundation operates within the UK and around the world.
