In his 18 year career, German born Michael Portz has focused on making the customer experience right first time, every time. He's pretty excited about Vodafone Qatar's mission: "to be the number one brand in Qatar in 3 years".

If he were a brand, his brand's personality would be ‘different, friendly, positive, fun and versatile.' You might be interested to know that he has been a professional musician in his time, performing on TV shows, festivals and concerts. In between getting people tap their feet and hit the dance floor, Michael graduated from the Henley Management College in the UK with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

He held a number of positions at Vodafone Group managing various products and services.

Most recently Michael headed the customer care operations at Vodacom South Africa where he was responsible for more than 900 staff, building new call centres and re-organising existing divisions to achieve a world class service.

Apart from his passion for music, Michael is passionate about learning new things and making a difference. He loves to travel and enjoys scuba diving.
