Jenny Howe

Chief Technology Officer

Jenny Howe joins us from the green pastures of Ireland and is fulfilling her lifelong ambition to work abroad. Her first attempt was when she joined a global management consultancy dreaming of a posting in warmer climes. However, her position turned out to be in the rather less exotic Newcastle-on-Tyne in the rainy North of England. Needless to say, she is very excited to be in Qatar with her husband Simon, her four-year-old daughter Cliona, and one-year-old son Freddie.

In her previous post at Vodafone Dublin, Jenny was Head of Business Planning and Governance and was responsible for creating a rolling three-year business plan for the company. Jenny is an engineering graduate who has also held positions within Vodafone as Head of Technology Strategy and Planning and Head of the Centre of Excellence where she led a team that developed new technological innovations for customer trials.

The one technical innovation that Jenny would like to see that hasn't been invented yet is a teleportation device. Despite the lack of technological development in this field,  she has still managed to do plenty of travelling between living in Newcastle and moving to Qatar. She has visited over 30 countries. South America, Nepal, and Spain rank among her favourite locations, although she would recommend West Cork in Ireland for the peacefulness, great food, and pristine beaches. When not travelling Jenny enjoys cycling, running, and swimming.
